During 2024, operators and logistics companies continued to launch new rail routes and multimodal services. This is facilitated by the opening of new transport and logistics complexes, growing demand for container cargo transportation and the opening of an agency network of companies abroad. 

At the end of October, JSC «RZD Logistics» completed construction of non-shared use roads for a new logistics complex. Deng Xiaoping, located in the OEZ territory «Alabuga» in Tatarstan. The project was implemented in record time - construction and installation work lasted only one year. The container terminal’s turnover is 100,000 containers, or 2.4 million tons of cargo per year. The Russian Federation has a total of 1,075,000 containers per year.

The first train from the terminal was dispatched on 30 October. The convoy, loaded with 76 containers of beet butt, will proceed to the far east port of Find, where the containers will be transferred to a ship and shipped to China by sea.

The average delivery time to the sea terminal will be 20 days. According to the forecasts of the specialists of Kuibyshsky TFTU, in 2025 from Russia for export to China from the terminal will send rubber, cereals, vegetable oil and vegetable oil, in the future it is planned to send container trains with petrochemical products.

The subsidiary of holding «RZD» - «RZD Business Asset» - this year also used the infrastructure of Inkhkinsky seaport (MRT) to open a new service. In June, the company launched a public multimodal service from the Chinese port of Ningbo to Moscow through the infra-structure of the Nezhsky ICC. 

The service is available twice a month. Upon arrival at the Nezhskiy ICC, cargo in container trains is sent to the TLC «White Rust». As the company reported, there is a high demand for small shipments of goods with volumes from one to five containers. The company continues to develop logistics solutions in the China-Russia communication, allowing to increase the availability of container delivery for small and medium business enterprises. More than 800 DFE are transported monthly as part of the service.

Multimodal terminal on the territory of TLC «South Ural» became a starting point for two new regular services in different directions. In late April, JSC «RZD Logistics» and LLC «Dry Port South Ural» organized from the terminal the shipment of the first agro-express from Russia to India along the eastern route of the international transport corridor North - South. 

The train route was from TЛK to Saraks station (Turkmenistan) in transit through Kazakhstan. At the arrival station, 31 containers of oats and cereal grains were transferred to the 1435 track and sent across the Iranian territory to the port of Bandar Abbas and then by sea to the port of Mundra (India). Transit time to destination port was 35 days. 

According to experts, in the coming years the volume of APK cargo transported on this transport corridor can reach 100 thousand tons per year,» - said then director of container transportation and agronomy «RZD Logistics» Alexander Sivertsev.

At the beginning of the year, in January, from TLC «South Urals» sent to Vladivostok the first scheduled train service FESCO Chelyabinsk Shuttle Eastbound with goods for export to China and Vietnam. Containers travel by train to Vladivostok, and then ships go to China and Vietnam.

As reported in the GC «Delo», the company expanded its portfolio of logistics routes and launched more than 15 new rail and multimodal services, increasing domestic transport through Russia and strengthening communication with China and Central Asia. 

Multimodal transport operator «Ruskon» (part of the GC «Delo») announced at the end of October the opening of a regular service for delivery of collected cargo from Israel to Russia. The goods shipments will be consolidated in a warehouse at the port of Haifa, after which they will be sent in large-tonnage containers by regular line service of partner company on the sea terminal GC «Case» in New Russia. 

The transit time between Israel and Russia is 10 days. Frequency of shipments - twice a month. «Due to the synergy of its assets, the group ensures control over all key stages of transportation along the route, providing customers with an optimal balance of price, speed and quality», noted in the GC «Delo».

SC «FGC» has started testing an additional channel for the delivery of large-scale retainers in semi-trailers using well-type platforms model 13-6701 «Pechora». «On the routes Sosnogorsk - Vorkuta, Sosnogorsk - Usinsk, Sosnogorsk - Pechorov already from 2020 are operating JSC «FGC» cross-country platforms model 13-5205 «Siberia». To supply the cities of the Comy Republic with food goods, we additionally developed a technology for loading platforms of the well type model 13-6701 «Pechora», which allows to use a new kind of rolling stock and increase the volume of food transport in the region. The semi-trailer is loaded onto a platform in Syktyvkar and sent for loading to Sosnogorsk. The cross-track platform 13-6701 allows to use alternative places for loading and unloading goods from semi-trailers, which will relieve customers of waiting for the release of cargo yards», - said the head of the Yaroslavl'Transport Service Agency JSC «FPC» Alexander Columetec.

The Pigtail platform of the shaft type model 13-6701 «Pechora» is designed for both pigtail transport and large container shipping, which makes the car more functional. In the park of AO «FGC» there are 151 pigtail plates-shaped well type model 13-6701 «Pechora» and 102 pigtail platforms model 13-5205 «Siberia».
