Speaking at the plenary discussion, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustinin said: Despite the continuous sanctions pressure, the transport industry continues to develop. This year, both passenger and freight traffic have continued to show positive trends. These results show a high adaptability of all modes and their sustainability».

During the discussion, Oleg Belozyorov noted that the main task facing holding is to implement the May decrees of the president. Thus, non-energy exports should be increased by 2/3 by 2030 compared to 2023; grain exports by 1.5 times compared to 2021; transport on the transport corridors by 1.5 times compared to 2021.
Returning to the topic of non-commodity exports, the head of the holding informed that 89 million tons will have to be removed. He added that these goods are transported primarily in containers. The holding will have to change the structure of transport in all directions - to transport more high value added products, which will develop the economy of the country. «We assume that depending on the volumes, there may be a slight reduction in the transportation of raw energy commodities, which will need to be increased», he predicted.
The head of the holding is confident that in 2025 it will be possible to achieve higher cargo transport rates than in 2024. And in passenger transport record is expected this year: according to the forecasts of Oleg Belozyorov, the company «will be over 1.2 billion passengers».
The capacity of the Eastern test site, according to the Comprehensive Infrastructure Modernization Plan, will reach 180 million tons by 2024. We now have the target of reaching 210 million tons by 2030 and 270 million tons by 2032. The railway workers will not fail and they will cope with all tasks on time and in the set deadlines», - assured the company’s head.
The MTK North-South continues to increase its speed, three branches are engaged. Regular container trains are coming, coal shipments have started.
